Stony Medical Centre has been asked by NHS England to take on a Caretaker contract for the Neath Hill Health Centre starting 1 April 2016.
What does this mean to patients?
Do I need to visit Stony Medical Centre if I need to see a Doctor?
NO. Your GP appointments will continue to be at the Neath Hill Health Centre
Do I need to visit Stony Medical Centre if I need to see a nurse?
NO. Your nurse appointments will continue to be at the Neath Hill Health Centre
Will the phone number for Neath Hill Health Centre change?
NO. The surgery telephone number is not changed.
Will the administration and reception staff change?
NO. All the existing staff have remained. Some of the Stony staff may offer support but this will be in addition to the Neath Hill team not instead of.
Who will the new doctors be?
We are busy recruiting new doctors to join the team. The appointment as Caretaker happened quickly and so permanent recruitment for new doctors has not yet happened but the process has started, nevertheless patients should see an overall improvement in access because it is our intention to increase the overall number of appointments.

Practice Access & Facilities
The practice has ample parking. There are no steps at the entrance and automatic doors give patients easy access. A toilet on the ground floor is designed for use by the disabled.
